A lovely family to stay with, right in the countryside but still close to the main north-south route through France, which I drive regularly. They have vintage pinball machines you can play, and breakfast was great. There's no restaurant on site, though there's a very good choice of places about 10 minutes away.

We stayed two nights as a family, and our 2-year-old son loved seeing all the animals in the nearby enclosures. The grounds are pretty and very quiet, and the swimming pool is lovely, though unheated. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. We also enjoyed the warm welcome, the generous homemade breakfast, and the homemade evening dishes. Highly recommended!

The homemade breakfast was a real pleasure, and the animals were lovely company. The rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean. Everyone was welcoming, warm, and helpful. I'll definitely come back on a future visit to the area 😉

I booked a room at Le Clos du Chêne while I was in Langon to DJ a wedding that weekend. Mine had a lovely Japanese theme. The next morning, I went to the kitchen where food was being served, and Stéphane and Sophie were incredibly kind. We ended up chatting for an hour while I had lunch 🙂. It's worth discovering if you're in the area, and I told them I'd definitely return.
