The food was outstanding, especially the evening chicken dishes and apples grown there, and breakfast was lovely too. Everything was served in a big old room with loads of character and a warm, sociable feel. We stayed in a lovely modern family room in what I think was an old farmhouse, with those lovely thick walls. The welcome after getting off the ferry was so good that we stayed again on our way back. No need to look further, stay here!

The food was the highlight, proper French cooking done with real care. We had a lovely duck dish and a delicious bottle of wine, while the kids had tender chicken breast with fries. Breakfast was amazing as well, with homemade jams and yoghurt. The owners and family made us feel genuinely welcome, and the surroundings were lovely. Our family room was basic, but for what we paid it was amazing. We used the place as a stopover on the way to the Loire region so we could cross on Friday instead of Saturday, which was cheaper and quieter. I wish we’d booked longer. We’ll definitely come back, hopefully for a few days next time. A lovely change from the usual roadside motels.

After a long bike ride, getting to have a hot bath and then sit by the open fire for dinner was bliss. The staff were lovely and friendly, and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was included, with amazing homemade apple juice and jams. I can't recommend it more highly!

There was a lovely atmosphere, and breakfast was plentiful. The host and food were fantastic, and the owner couldn't do enough for us. We'll definitely go again.
