Hôtel Henri IV

The owners are delightful, the rooms are clean, and breakfast was great. This family-run hotel is a gem, set in a beautifully renovated historic building. Parking right out front made it easy to explore the magnificent Lot-et-Garonne. Pair the region with a trip to Bordeaux and you’ll have the best time of your life.

Anne and Julien were fantastic and very understanding when extreme weather disrupted our travel plans and forced a change of arrangements. We were there for a wedding and found the room cosy and quiet, with the space used well. The ecological shower impressed me, and breakfast had the local products others have mentioned. We hope to return and wish them all the best with the expansion they’re about to complete.

We were here for a wedding and had a great stay. The location is central but peaceful and quiet at night. Our room was spotless and laid out with everything we needed, and all the staff were genuinely lovely and eager to help. Everyone spoke very good English, which was especially helpful since my French isn’t great. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The staff were lovely and welcoming, and offered maps and suggestions. The breakfast room was nice, breakfast was good, and there was even an egg cooker and a juicer for fresh orange juice. Parking on the street around the hotel was easy and free. It’s in a quiet part of the village, close to the centre of Nerac, a nice little town. Our room mixed old and modern, with old-fashioned furniture and one exposed old wall. The bathroom was old-fashioned too, with separate hot and cold taps, and everything was clean. The pool is very tiny, the separate taps at the shower and sink are inconvenient, and there’s no elevator. Still, we’d recommend it as a lovely base for enjoying the region around Nerac.
