La Clé Des Champs

The children had a great time with the outdoor games and playhouse, and there was plenty of room for a ball game or pétanque on the big lawn in the evening. From the lounge chairs, we could listen to the birds or watch two deer pass slowly along the fence. The central chalet was ours, one of three on a large, fully fenced property. Gravel paths lead to a gate with a code, and the owner lives on site and looks after everything. His name is Daniel, and he introduced himself that way. We felt a sense of trust straight away; he’s clearly invested in making guests comfortable while keeping the grounds clean and peaceful and respecting everyone. You can cook, barbecue, and eat outside, with everything provided. Linens and towels were included, and the bathroom had a washing machine, toilet, and walk-in shower. There’s a pond too, but children can only go there with Daniel’s permission and a parent present. We stayed from July 26th to August 2nd, 2025, and came home delighted. It’s an idyllic, safe, quiet place, and impeccably clean. Thank you, Daniel and Yvette, his wife, for giving us a chance to recharge and disconnect from the artificial world and its empty promises. We’ll definitely return.

The owner was so kind and welcoming, and the place has a special atmosphere. It’s also equipped with all the comforts we needed. We’ll definitely be back.

There’s a lot to see nearby, including Colmar, so we were able to visit plenty of local attractions. At the same time, the cottage is wonderfully quiet, set by the woods and surrounded by fields. We spent a pleasant week in one of the three chalets, and it was spotless. The children really enjoyed the outdoor games and large green area. The owner and his wife were lovely hosts and always available while we were there. I’d give it 10/10!
