Elizabeth was a delight as a host, always happy to help us enjoy our time there. The rooms are gorgeous and sumptuous, and there are so many comfortable little corners to tuck yourself away in. This imposing 600-year-old building somehow feels warm and welcoming the moment you enter. I can’t quite explain what makes it so special, but I can’t wait to return. I love this place. It’s 7.4 times better than the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, and walking in feels like you’ve lived there for thirty years.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we came back four days later. The room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and breakfast was prepared with care and attention to the little details. Le Prieuré is a delightful place in Biron beneath the historic Chateau de Biron. The friendly hostess gave us a warm welcome. The ancient entrance, stone staircase, and generous rooms preserve the feel of medieval times. It was our first visit to Dordogne, and I’d highly recommend this address to anyone visiting Biron.

We spent five days there in August, away from the tourists but within easy reach of Dordogne attractions. The attic room was spacious enough for three, with beautiful views of the castle and countryside. The house is a beautiful 15th-century property close to Biron Castle, and it makes a great base for exploring if you love history and antiques.

The room had an incredible view over the Lot-et-Garonne forests, and the whole place has been beautifully restored with such refined details. The owner clearly looks after it with love. A magnificent address, highly recommended. Thanks for making it possible for us to visit Biron!
