The cottage was pretty and very clean, and the garden was beautifully maintained. Still, this turned into a strange holiday. We didn’t get much of a welcome, just a 1L bottle of water from the fridge, with no special touches. Noise wasn’t tolerated, so I wouldn’t suggest coming with children, especially if they like playing in the pool. They also count your laundry loads. We did five in two weeks because our 5-month-old and 6-year-old got dirty quickly, and got criticized for it. I’m not sure the pool’s pH is checked. There seemed to be a lot of chemicals, and my 6-year-old daughter got burned. The friction from her swimsuit and armbands against the water was too painful, so we stopped using the pool for the rest of our stay. We left the cottage very clean, even though cleaning was included, because we wanted to be respectful. There wasn’t a thank you or even a message afterward.

The gîte had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Its location was convenient for exploring some of France’s most beautiful towns and villages, and the swimming pool sat in a lovely landscaped garden. We started our holiday with a refreshing drink and a kugelhopf offered when we arrived. We left absolutely delighted. We couldn’t use the pool because it was too cold outside 😉, but it had no overlooking neighbors. The cottage was spotless and well equipped, with a large private terrace, griddle, and summer kitchen. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They welcomed us with sparkling wine and a homemade kugelhopf. I highly recommend it!

The owners were discreet and always there if we needed anything. The cottage was spotless, spacious, beautiful, and equipped with plenty of high-quality linens. They’d even thought of things like condiments and aluminum foil, and left a delicious kouglof for us on arrival. It’s hard to imagine finding a better place. Everything was perfect, right from the warm welcome. We highly recommend this cottage. Thank you to Sylvia and Marc.
