Les Terrasses de Cascavelle

The view was magnificent, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but nice, so I could see this working well for a short break with friends or other sports enthusiasts. There were several things that made the stay less comfortable, though. The coffee machine was dusty, our room wasn't cleaned during the two nights, the walk-in shower didn't work properly, and the shower gels were very basic. The rooms are noisy, too, and you can easily hear the neighbors. We didn't get suggestions for places to visit nearby, and communication with the owners in French was fairly limited. Most guests seemed to be Dutch or Belgian, and breakfast was mostly in Flemish or Dutch, which left us feeling a bit excluded. I’d be less likely to choose it for a family holiday, especially since the pool isn't safe for children.

We rode up Mont Ventoux on road bikes during our stay, and Bédoin was nearby. In our opinion, it's the most beautiful starting point, and a charming town as well. Our room had a stunning view over Mont Ventoux, the vineyards, forests, and more. It was luxurious, with a dining area, comfortable armchairs, and a fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast in the morning was generous and delicious, served by the pool. The owners were very friendly and shared helpful tips and interesting facts about the area.

The room was spacious and fully equipped, with a wonderfully large box-spring bed. We were glad to have the air conditioning in sunny France, and the heated swimming pool was refreshing too. Each morning the friendly owners provided a generous breakfast. It was lovely eating with the other guests and talking through our plans for the day. We had a wonderful week with a view of Mont Ventoux.

We couldn't fault the welcome, rooms, or location. If you're after a lovely B&B in the beautiful region around Mont Ventoux, don't hesitate.
