The staff were nice enough, but this place felt better suited to bikers and truckers than to someone travelling for business. Breakfast was disappointing: just one croissant per person with bread. I’d have preferred a buffet, or at least a little more choice served at the table.

Everything tasted fresh and homemade, with generous portions and real, authentic flavours. At Relais des Forêts, the welcome was so warm that we felt comfortable straight away. We had a wonderful time, and I’d happily recommend it for the friendly atmosphere and the care put into the cooking.

We tried the Creuse burger with melted cheese, and it was delicious. The patty was thick and cooked just right, and the homemade fries from local potatoes were a lovely extra. The menu has excellent homemade dishes, and the prices felt more than fair. The little restaurant is tucked away in the countryside, with an authentic but chic feel. The owner welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away, and our aperitif came promptly. Thanks especially to him for being so kind and thoughtful. We’ll definitely come back. A restaurant worth visiting!

The meals were very good, and we had a wonderful stay. Our room was clean, and the hotelier was pleasant and attentive. The welcome was excellent too. Thanks so much for the quality service, we’ll definitely return.
