Someone was sleeping on the reception couch, and people were smoking and drinking inside. The place was filthy and really messy. Worst hostel ever, just don't stay there. It was a nightmare.

Someone was sleeping on the reception couch, and people were smoking and drinking inside. The place was filthy and really messy. Worst hostel ever, just don't stay there. It was a nightmare.

There were broken chairs and sofas outside the entrance, and the place felt shabby and unsafe. No lockers in the rooms, no keys for the room doors, and they wouldn't take card payments. The area didn't seem safe either, and there isn't a proper reception. The managers seemed like okay guys, but the place was still really bad. Very dodgy. Don't go.
The friendly staff were the one good thing. Everything else felt like a scam, even though it was cheap. There were no room keys or closets for suitcases, and the lighting was a problem, with candles used to light the building. We hadn't read the other reviews before we went, which was a huge mistake. I'm writing this now because I really want to. Not recommended. A total disappointment and a rip-off.
Avoid the room with the refrigerator, there was too much traffic at all hours. Renovation work is planned to address the shower leak. The kitchen and dining area weren't always kept up by the occupants. It's more like a guesthouse than a hostel, with no reception, and public transport is an 8-10 minute walk away. Keep in mind there's a tourist tax of 6 euros per day.
I couldn't get in touch with Booking.com. On top of what I paid through the site, they charged an extra €31 in taxes. This didn't seem like a hostel or hotel, more like a clandestine place.
