The owners are wonderfully welcoming and clearly love hosting. They go out of their way to make the stay special, and with just four rooms the place feels like a little oasis, on a par with the best hotels in Paris. My wife and I have come back several times, and each visit leaves us impressed all over again. The Japanese spa is especially welcome after a long drive. The house itself is spectacular, mixing antiques with mid-century furniture, and the rooms have lovely decor and high quality linens. Dinner is a must if you stay overnight. The chef is very skilled, the menu changes daily to use the freshest food, and what they serve is at Michelin level. We go out of our way to stay here. It's a real treasure if you're in the area.

We were on a winding drive from the UK to the Alps and booked the Passagran with only about 2 hours' notice, arriving late. The hotel hadn't even officially opened yet, but the lovely new owners welcomed us and made us an impromptu, delicious home cooked supper. The restored Art Deco Maison de Maitre has spotless rooms, high ceilings, comfortable beds and great art on the walls. There was also a very friendly golden labrador. Boën-sur-Lignon is a charming, slightly sleepy village. Highly recommended.

The spa is really pleasant, and dinner is well worth having. It features fresh seasonal ingredients, cooked perfectly, and is worthy of a top restaurant. Breakfast is generous and excellent quality, too. The welcome leads you into a magnificent house, making this a wonderful discovery. I left wanting to come back.

We booked dinner, and it was the best meal of our trip. Everything was homemade, and breakfast deserves a special mention for both its excellent quality and generous quantity. Passagran made for a wonderful weekend, with lovely hosts, a magnificent room and first rate wellness facilities. Every space is furnished and decorated with taste, and each one tells a story. We'll definitely return!
