Breakfast was chaotic, with no clear order to how things were laid out. The pastries and bread were poor quality, and the coffee was awful. Drinks at the bar were charged at the room service rate. Check-in was chaotic too, and the first room wasn't very clean or welcoming. Its lights started flashing when the shower was turned on. The second room was cleaner and the lights worked, but the bed was uncomfortable and only a small double. I wouldn't want to stay again.

I'm very unhappy with this hotel. They charged me £40 in tourist tax and then asked for another £100 deposit when I arrived. I clearly remember paying that deposit, but it's been three weeks since I got home and I still haven't received it back. When I contacted the hotel, they said the money was never taken from my account, which makes no sense. They make sure guests pay a deposit, so surely they would have said something if it hadn't gone through. Now they're refusing to return my own money, even though I left the room immaculate.

The train station at Bois Columbus is conveniently close, which made our commute easier. There are also a few food places nearby, mostly fast food. We stayed a full week, and I got tired of having the same breakfast every day, with no rotation at all. At checkout, I was hit with a bill for almost 200 Euros in tax charges that nobody had told us about when we checked in.

I stayed here with my family from 9-Aug to 11-Aug, including my mother, who is 65+, and children, one of them four years old. We found the breakfast very basic, and there was no restaurant, so we had to walk to nearby places or order delivery. That was the biggest inconvenience for our group. The plumbing also seemed problematic, though the receptionist came to my room and fixed it himself, which I appreciated. For someone visiting to get a feel for Paris, I think the ambience could be improved. I'd recommend this place if you just need somewhere to sleep. If you want to use the property for food or other things, it may not be the right place.
