Maison D'hôtes "les Tillets"

The garden is a joy to return to in any season. I've visited twice, and both times the beautiful surroundings and thoughtfully put together menus featuring delicious local flavors stood out. Gilles and James are warm, gracious, and attentive, with personal touches that make us feel like friends rather than guests. Merci, Gilles et James !

The garden is beautifully cared for and a lovely spot to unwind, and the guesthouse itself is tidy, charming, and full of wonderful furniture. James and Gilles are thoughtful, fantastic hosts, and they gave us great regional ideas for day trips during our holiday. We really enjoyed staying here and would happily recommend it. The whole region is magical and leaves you feeling wonderful, so we'll certainly return. When you're visiting Bourgogne, don't miss a stop at Gilles et James! Their peaceful, romantic hideaway feels like home, and you can relax there feeling protected. The two hosts are charming, welcoming, and always attentive. James Breakfast is amazing, as is the atmosphere. You can see how much Gilles and James care about every detail, indoors and out, especially in the beautiful garden.

James and Gilles were so warm and friendly, and ready to help with anything. When our son caught Covid during our stay, they were incredibly understanding and even set up a separate breakfast table for him in the garden. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with fresh fruit, lots of pastries and bread, homemade jams, yogurt, and more. The gardens and pool are peaceful and lovely, while the comfortable interior spaces have plenty of character and thoughtful detail. It's a great base for exploring the Brionnais countryside, markets, and villages, and for reaching larger places like Cluny or Macon. We were interested in the region's Romanesque churches, and there's a little jewel of a church just a few steps away. Highly recommended!
