Les Gites Haras Del Paradiso

The property is quiet, but the way the jacuzzi was handled ruined our family weekend. We booked specifically for it, and on Friday evening the owner told us it wasn't available, despite being shown in the Booking.com photos and amenities. We asked several times for it to be turned on and followed up throughout the weekend, but it never was. We spent the weekend waiting and getting more frustrated. Had we known, we wouldn't have paid such a high price for a place without the jacuzzi, the only feature that might have justified the cost, especially given the condition of the property. The place was very dirty, with cobwebs everywhere and lots of dust on the furniture. It seemed to have been swept before we arrived, but little else had been cleaned. Small insects were all over the place despite an insect trap. There was no hand soap or shower gel, no dish towels, and no mat at the entrance, even though the stables are very muddy. We also had to pay a 25 euro "sheet supplement" and got no duvet cover, just a thin sheet to put under the duvet. The duvet itself hadn't been washed. That felt completely unhygienic, and we expected at least a duvet cover for the extra charge. One of the two bedroom doors doesn't close properly, so whoever sleeps in that room gets woken early by noise and light. The accommodation is for 6, but the small armchair fits at most 3, leaving nowhere for everyone to gather in front of the TV. The owner never apologized about the jacuzzi and blamed Booking.com for not updating the listing. Yet we saw negative reviews from a year earlier describing the same experience. We had to contact her repeatedly because she never said whether or when the spa would be ready. A kind apology, a solution, or a discount could have saved the mood, but her unpleasant attitude spoiled everything. We definitely don't recommend it. It seems she's only in it for the money, with no service or sense of welcome or hospitality.

The surroundings were peaceful, and the property was clean. We had a wonderful stay at this stud farm, enjoyed the jacuzzi, and found the owners very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Calm and relaxing, with a jacuzzi and excellent amenities. These are superb cottages.

It's a peaceful spot for a countryside holiday, just as its name suggests. A truly lovely place, and a paradise for horses.
