La Belle Riviere (Adults Only)

The house has lots of eco-friendly touches, from the solid wood stoves and solar panels to rainwater used for the toilets. It’s a superb region, with plenty to explore if you love nature and beautiful scenery. We also really enjoyed the generous meals, made with local ingredients and presented beautifully. Breakfast was colorful and varied, and generous too. Our room was spacious and elegant, and the small shaded terrace was a cool, welcome break from the valley heat. Everything was perfect.

We spent a peaceful night here and had a lovely breakfast, including a sweet treat from Didier that I highly recommend. The evening by the fire with delicious fondue was just as lovely. The beautiful river and scenery make this a magical place where time seems to stand still, and the hosts clearly take real pleasure in looking after their guests. It was all wonderfully quiet. Thanks for the hospitality, we’ll be back. All the best.

The location is ideal if you love nature, and the hosts gave us great tips for hikes. We especially appreciated their warm welcome, the refined cooking, and the care they put into the table setting. Those five stars are deserved! Elsa and Bruno
