Hotel Le Royal

The room itself was dusty, though presentable apart from the windows, which had been fixed with scotch. There was nobody at reception and no elevator. We hadn't expected the stairs and route to our rooms to look like an abandoned house, with paint falling off the walls and an extremely dirty carpet. At close to 260 a night, this wasn't somewhere we'd want to stay.

The dining area has spectacular views, and the position is central. Our room was very tidy, and the service was very good. Almondine,Tom and Lissa were especially helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic, and breakfast was very good.

Le Royal made us feel like family. Seeing the team each day and enjoying that family feeling made our time there wonderful. They were always smiling and kind, helped us out, and suggested alternatives for the children. Amandine looked after the child's interest with toys, which we really appreciated. Thanks to everyone, we couldn't have enjoyed Bonifacio more, and I strongly hope to come back soon.

AVOID. I was afraid to eat what I'd ordered for the first time, because of how hostile the waiter was. I was visiting the city for the first time with two friends, and since we didn't know the area, we chose this nice-looking restaurant. We were all relaxed and kind, but the waiter was very difficult to deal with, acting as if he didn't understand. Between the three of us, we could speak French, Italian, Spanish and English. He was generally rude. The dish arrived after a while and was low-average quality. I don't recommend this restaurant at all. I hope they become more polite, but since their customers are one-timers like us, that may be hard.
