Petit Appart Douillet au Cœur de la Haute-ville

The owners live on site and were nice and very helpful. The rooms are also spacious and nice, with high-end finishes, and breakfast on the terrace was amazing, with gorgeous views. That terrace is open for breakfast, but closed at other times. We called ahead to ask if we could have an aperitivo there in the afternoon, but were only allowed to sit there one night. There are no common spaces at all, no lobby, nowhere to sit and relax or buy food or drinks away from the crowds. There’s no reception or phone in the rooms, so you have to call the owners yourself. It took us 20 minutes to find the entrance, since there’s no lobby or reception. The stairs up to the property are borderline dangerous, basically a ladder. There’s no parking; you have to pay 25 euros a day or 60 for the week at a nearby lot, a 10-minute walk away over stairs and gravel. The air conditioning is by the bathroom and didn’t cool the room enough to sleep comfortably. This hotel is massively overpriced, more like a 3- or 4-star stay for the price of 5-plus stars. I’d have expected to pay 30-40% less, and then I probably would’ve given it 4 out of 5 stars.

Antoine made our first trip to Corsica and Bonifacio personal and memorable with his wonderfully friendly welcome. Entre Ciel et Mer is a charming hotel in a fantastic location, with breathtaking views and real comfort. We couldn’t have wished for a better stay, highly recommend it, and hope to come back ourselves.

Our room, the Suite d'Or, was spacious, spotless and very quiet, with a lovely view and a small patio where we could sit and admire the cliffs. Breakfast was beautiful, with croissants, local bread, yoghurt, plenty of fresh fruit, and local meats and cheeses. Antoine and Viktoria were wonderful hosts, quick to sort out anything that came up. We loved staying at Entre Ciel et Mer. We’ve been home for only a few days and are already dreaming of going back. Our only regret is having to leave. Merci Antoine et Viktoria!

Antoine is a special host, very responsive to guests’ needs and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The hotel has an awesome view, and his breakfast is amazing with a spectacular outlook. Just be ready to climb some stairs :)
