Camping du RIED

The bar and restaurant served good food and drinks, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was handy having Super U within walking distance, too. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable, with a relaxing deck. We had a great holiday at Le Ried and would gladly come back. It's also a good place to stay while exploring the area.

The location was the only real plus for us. We arrived around 8 pm and found our keys in an envelope outside reception, but when we reached the assigned caravan, another family was already staying there. We couldn't get through on the phone number we were given. Fortunately, a worker was still around and helped us. Half an hour later we were moved to a different caravan, and staff said they didn't know who was in the first one. The replacement smelled musty and needed cleaning. The floors and dishes in the drawers were dirty, and there were lots of wasps. We woke up to dead ones on the beds, had more than 10 coming inside each day, and usually saw several on the decking. I contacted Eurocamp the next day because I felt there might be a safety issue at the camp. They said they'd spoken to the worker who helped us the night before. According to them, the worker claimed they'd checked the caravan, found nobody there, and thought we'd gone to the wrong one. They didn't offer to show us the right caravan, though. I had photos showing another family at the caravan, its doors wide open, and the correct plot number. After I sent the photos, I heard nothing further. The photos of the place are misleading, everything is much smaller in person. The small playground and pool aren't suitable for children under five. Workers drove around on a cart with loud music while we were trying to relax, and the music continued past 11 pm. It felt more like a party spot for adults than a family holiday place. We left early, and more than a week after my first message about the problems, I still hadn't had a reply since sending the evidence.

The restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Most of them spoke English, too. Everything was perfectly clean, smelled nice throughout, and was surprisingly comfortable for this kind of accommodation, with air conditioning, a smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. We only stayed four days because I hadn't planned well, but I mean to come back next year for a couple of weeks.

We've been here five times now, and it's always a pleasure. The staff are nice and helpful, and the mobile homes are clean and well equipped. The pool areas are pleasant, though a little small for a camp this size. I guess they're about right. There's plenty to do nearby, with a bakery within walking distance and shops very close. The kids loved the kids' club. The bar and restaurant are nice and serve good quality food. The entertainment was good quality too, especially karaoke night and foam bassin night. For the price, this is the place to go.
