The owners made the place feel welcoming, almost like staying with grandparents. They were kind and thoughtful without hovering, and the garden with hens was lovely. Our double room had plenty of space, even for yoga, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable I slept better than at home. It was clean, with a flat-screen TV, table, chair, and Nescafe Gusto coffee machine, similar to Nespresso. The large bathroom looked recently redone and was clean too. French doors from both the bedroom and bathroom opened onto a terrace with a table for meals. There’s also a shared kitchen area with a microwave and other basics. It had all the comforts I’d expect from a solid three-star hotel. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone needing a place in the area.

The next morning we had a generous breakfast made with fresh, homemade products. Our family had a great stay in Normandy, and the cottage near Boos was very pleasant. The rooms were lovely, each with a private bathroom. Thank you for everything!

Breakfast was served beautifully in the lovely dining room, and we chose to eat there, since, as they say, pleasure comes at a price. It’s paid separately, and I would have liked cheese with it. You can make tea or coffee in the room with the kettle and pick up cheeses at the supermarket instead, though. The room felt less like a guesthouse room and more like a space prepared for close friends on a restful holiday. Daniel and Michel were wonderful hosts, and the setting was exceptionally peaceful and pastoral. I’d especially recommend it to people traveling by car. There was so much care in the French-style decor: the water bottle had a little crocheted doll covering its cap, the curtains were tied with silk bows, and a silver jewelry dish and box of mints sat on the nightstand. The walls had original paintings, not copies. The bathroom was beautiful, spacious, and modern. The traditional breakfast was presented so nicely in that beautiful dining room.
