All Suites Bordeaux Lac

I was very let down. The suite looked nothing like the photos or description. It was dirty and smelled unpleasant, the furniture was damaged, and the bed was uncomfortable. For a hotel that's supposed to be this standard, that's unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend it.

I booked at the last minute, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. There are maintenance problems and bad smells, and both the room and bathroom were old and dirty. Travelers, don't trust the photos on the website.

The rooms were okay for such a cheap price, but nothing special, and the staff weren't very nice. They didn't always answer when I called. At checkout they said they'd return my reservation money if nothing was broken, but I only got it back after two days, once I called to ask. The one advantage is the location, close to the airport.

The staff were helpful and polite, and did make the stay pleasant. The hotel's appearance, though, gives you an idea of what you paid for, and the place wouldn't look out of place in communist-era Eastern Europe. The bed felt as hard as a concrete slab. With no air conditioning, the room was like a sauna. They gave us a fan, but it only pushed the warm air around. The window was either shut or wide open, so I wouldn't leave small children or drunk adults alone in the room. There's a two-ring hob, fridge, sink, microwave, a few pots, cutlery, plates, a dining table, and two chairs. If you cook, bring everything else, including washing-up liquid and a tea towel. There's also a French-only TV and a coffee machine.
