Appartement le Saint-Georges

We had a nice lunch, and the portion size was good for the price. The food is a little above average, with the sort of broad Western menu you’d expect at a typical restaurant. The lunch options and combinations were varied, and the dishes were presented nicely. The servers were helpful and spoke English. There was plenty of room at the pleasant outdoor seating.

We went for coffee and omelettes instead, since it was only 10am. The coffee was just right, smooth and strong, and they brought hot water so we could dilute it to taste. The omelette was good too, with delicious ham and cheese and a side salad. We’d wanted to come back for brunch and have their mussels, but they weren’t available in December. The staff kindly pointed us to another place in Bordeaux that serves mussels that month. I thought that was generous and unselfish of them.

A good spot for a cold beer and a glass of bubbles on a warm day. There’s a parking lot just below, a cool square next door, and lots of seating. The staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

A lovely café in central Bordeaux. We had a wonderful meal, with a perfectly cooked quiche and a charcuterie board offering a nice mix of meats and cheeses.
