Appartements Victor et Hugo

What an unpleasant surprise. The windows are stuck and can’t be opened. There’s a cracked pane and a makeshift repair on the living room window for some kind of ventilation system. The space heater has a cable taped onto it, and electrical wires are exposed in the absurdly tiny bathroom. One bedroom has no closet. The armchairs are uncomfortable, there’s limescale on all the pipes, and the street is very noisy.

I’m outraged. The owner blocked my review, so let’s say the apartment was magnificent, even though I don’t think that at all. I’ll give it five stars, maybe then I won’t get blocked. Now I understand why every review for this apartment is positive, if all the negative ones are blocked.

Everything was easy during our two-night stay. The apartment was just the right size for four, and the location was great, near the center.

The apartment was reasonably clean, but the landlord was extremely unfriendly and didn’t seem to speak any English. It smelled strongly of smoke when we arrived. Since it’s on the ground floor, we couldn’t properly air it out through the windows. I wouldn’t recommend it.
