B&B Le Miroir aux Fées

There was no AC, which hadn’t been made clear, and the room was tiny and cramped. I have severe claustrophobia and had an immediate panic attack when I walked in. It’s on the 3rd floor, reached by a tiny staircase, and isn’t clearly marked. They suggested I cancel and said they would refund my stay. I was grateful they understood, but after I canceled, they refused to refund me. I never stayed in the room. I put my bags down, went straight outside for air and to calm down, and was so distressed that I forgot my bags. I contacted them as soon as I was outside. My husband went back up to get our things, and we left. They said they wouldn’t refund us because we’d put our bags in the room. I offered a compromise, but they stopped responding. I would never stay here or with these people again. I tried to be fair and understanding, but it felt like a cash grab. They ignored that they’d told me I could cancel and get a refund after my panic and anxiety attack. I walked in and walked out, never stayed there, and they still declined my refund. That’s horrible. These people aren’t nice, take advantage of guests, and lie.

The owner was caring and communicative, and even made special rice porridge for my sensitive traveler's digestive system. The breakfast room is bright and beautiful. The building is cozy and historic, the room comfortable, and the location is central, right by Place de la bourse with its good eateries and bakeries. Many thanks!

We stayed in a building from the 16th century, which made for a special experience. The room was small but cozy and clean, with no street noise. The owner was friendly and helpful, lending us umbrellas and giving us a map. Breakfast was good, with basic things like French baguette, croissant, jam, yogurt, cheese, juice, and some fruit. A very pleasant stay in the heart of Bordeaux.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet, and it’s a really nice place. I’d have given it 5 stars, but the stairs were very narrow and steep, which made them difficult.
