Hôtel de Sèze

The spa was wonderful. I had a body scrub and massage, and used the steam room and Sauna. It was well worth it after long days of food and wine tastings. This small boutique hotel sits right at the edge of the centre, a block from the Intercontinental and Opera house, where everything gets going. The website is modest, but the rooms are amazing and spacious. We had an amazing experience, and I don't think I'd stay anywhere else when we come back. One suggestion: eat breakfast out. Bordeaux has loads of options, and while the buffet is satisfying, it's not the huge breakfast you sometimes get in Europe.

The room was spacious, clean, and cute, and everyone we dealt with was great. The desk team were really helpful, while the bar and kitchen staff were superb. Getting around was easy too: the main station is just a few minutes away for trips to the airport or Cite du Vin, and shops and restaurants are close by.

The Double Deluxe room and the staff were both excellent. This smaller hotel has kept a warm French feel, and its upkeep is far better than the rather dated, shabby Intercontinental across the road, where I stayed before. Hotel De Seze is in a wonderful spot and compared very favourably with that five-star stay. It’ll be my go-to when I’m back in Bordeaux. Well done, Hotel De Seze.

I liked the central location, and the little patio looked out toward the top of the big fountain in the park. The hotel has been remodeled in a very modern style. My room was nicely decorated, with a large bathroom that had both a shower and a bath. I think the bathroom floor may have been heated. Well worth a visit.
