ibis Bordeaux Lac

The tram and other transport links made it easy to get around from this lively area, where lots of international events take place. I found the food and breakfast satisfying, the bar service friendly, and the prices reasonable. Restaurant staff were courteous, and the reception team were warm and helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, and spacious for two, though I was on my own. The only odd thing was that both plug sockets were tucked behind the desk, which made charging my laptop and phone awkward. A comfortable place with pleasant service.

Clean, affordable, and with friendly staff and a good breakfast. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

I was here for three nights on a work trip. The room was clean and roomy, with good sound insulation and a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was a nice continental spread, and the staff were kind. One receptionist was especially helpful with directions for visiting the city centre and getting to the airport. The hotel is a little way from the centre, but the tram gets you there in 20 minutes for 1.90 euros.

We wanted somewhere inexpensive and easy to find, and this worked well for our trip. The locked parking made us feel safe leaving the roof box on the car, since we weren’t sure how safe the area would be. The rooms had plenty of space, and the beds were clean and comfortable. I’d worried at first that the hotel might be too cheap, but the staff were lovely and helpful, the food was great, and there was even a hotel cat 😊 Breakfast was plentiful, which set us up for the long drive the next day. We had burgers at the on-site restaurant, and they came quickly and tasted delicious.
