Mata at reception was the best receptionist I’ve ever met, and I travel a lot. The whole staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help. Getting into the city centre was easy too. Great experience, merci.

They charged €500 at check-in, then looked for “reasons” not to return it. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and never had anything like this happen. Everyone in our group paid the city tax at check-in. The reception staff said it couldn’t go on the same card as the deposit, so we paid it in cash. It was a small amount per room, but we had 11 rooms, and I stayed at reception to make sure everyone paid. I paid for parking by card and have that receipt, plus receipts for bar purchases and laundry for one room. I’m adding this because the hotel posted a response to my comment. In short, they’re lying. Be careful, they may “accidentally” take money from your card and not refund it.

There’s a gym area and sauna, and the basics are covered. It’s easy to get to the old city, the trams, Les Halle’s, and the wine museum.

The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It’s just outside the busy city centre, but close enough for an easy walk. I didn’t eat here, so can’t comment on the food. I had a very enjoyable stay and would come back.
