Appart'City Classic Bordeaux Centre

The room wasn't quite ready when I arrived, so the stay started awkwardly. Pierre at the front desk listened, treated my concerns with real empathy, and made sure things were sorted out. He was kind and professional, and made me feel valued. His help turned a potentially disappointing visit into one of my best hotel stays. He's a real asset to the team.

We chose Appart’city for its price and proximity to Pellegrin, where our cousin was due to have a serious procedure. We wanted to be there for our aunt, but the operation was cancelled at the last minute and moved to the following week. Even though our booking couldn't be cancelled, the staff understood and let us shift the reservation. When we stayed the next week, the room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had lots of choices and was good value. We drove, and the secure, affordable parking was right next door and payable at the hotel.

The rooms are comfortable and nice, and it was very quiet. Reception staff were kind and helpful. The tram station is nearby, with everything else we needed close by too; the city center is only a few stops away.

I had a disappointing stay. My key card was blocked one night after I’d been away for two days, which was a hassle. Housekeeping also came into my room without permission and didn't clean it properly. There were ongoing noises from steam, water, and the elevator, and the kitchenette didn't work. I reported the problems, but nothing was fixed.
