We booked two nights through the Capital One travel portal, hoping the location would be convenient for our short trip. Instead, our experience was a nightmare, and we never got inside the “hotel.” It was raining when we arrived around 1 pm, so we thought we could at least leave our luggage there. After we rang several times, an angry woman from downstairs, who wasn’t connected to the hotel, told us to move away. Nobody answered when we called the hotel. Capital One Travel reached the owner and told us to come back at 5 pm to check in. We took our bags to a restaurant to get food, then went to a movie theater. At 5, we returned and rang again, but still got no answer. Capital One then suggested we forget the hotel and book somewhere else, with credits applied to our booking. The trip was ruined by this unexpected experience, and we left Bordeaux a day earlier than planned. I can’t comment on the hotel itself, but being unable to get through the door is a traveler’s worst nightmare.

Tang home isn’t a hotel, but the rooms are clean and nice, and the beds, blankets, and pillows are great. If you like things simple but good, Tang is a great choice.

A handy base for Bordeaux, and really close to L’achimiste for a good coffee and a cheeky Dune blanche.

The location and value for money stood out most. The accommodation was excellent, with a very spacious room and a fully equipped bathroom. Check-in and check-out communication was friendly and efficient.

Right in the city center, which was a huge plus, and the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was warm, clean, and lovely, with a very comfortable king-size bed and a nice bathroom. They kept in touch from the time we booked, then explained everything in detail and very courteously when we arrived. We were absolutely delighted and will definitely return 😊
