The grounds are lovely, and having access to the pool was nice. But from the moment we arrived at Gîte Bleu, there were problems everywhere. The barbecue was too filthy to use, the loungers were grimy, and the beds weren't made. We had to pay extra for sheets, which were poor quality and had holes. The dishes were dirty, and the floors were so dusty our feet turned black walking around the living room. We raised it with the owner when we checked out. She said, “I can't clean up after every single guest.” We had rented the cottage for two days to attend a wedding nearby.

We came to the area with our one-year-old and had booked the Piano cottage. There was a sewage smell by the entrance, and spiders and cobwebs all over. The baby kit we'd reserved ahead of time hadn't been set up, so we had to start from scratch. When we complained, the owner got angry and showed no professionalism or understanding. We didn't stay in the cottage, but she still charged us for both nights without any compensation. It felt like money mattered more than people. What a nightmare, absolutely avoid this place.

The view over the fields is superb and open, and the cottage itself is pleasant and very well equipped. We still had mosquitoes bothering us, even in October. If anything breaks, though, you'll have to repair it yourself.

The owner was friendly and helpful. It's a lovely bed and breakfast, with a big garden and a pool.

A quiet, dreamy place to unwind, and the host was really kind and attentive. I imagine it must be even nicer in peak season.
