La Maison Saint Jean

Breakfast was delicious, served in the quiet garden where you can sit in the sun and take a refreshing dip in the pool. Our room exceeded expectations: spacious, comfortable, very clean, and fitted with a state of the art bathroom. We could see the castle from the window. What a pleasure to find this beautiful B&B in charming Boulbon. The hostess was so friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend La Maison Saint Jean.

The couple who run this elegant B&B are very kind and attentive, while giving guests plenty of privacy. La Maison Saint Jean is in the charismatic village of Boulbon, and we had a delightful stay there. If you're after a quiet, peaceful overnight stay, we'd recommend it. We hope to return soon!

The garden is a lovely place to find shade or sun, with flowers including Jasmin, Roses, Lavender and Oleander, and a delightful bassin. The owners are warm hosts who know the region well, offer great tips for visits, and serve a fresh, healthy breakfast. They make you feel at home while still giving you space for your own holiday. The spacious rooms are luxurious and tastefully furnished, with a king-size bed for a deep sleep and a bathroom with the latest comforts. La Maison St Jean is a luxury B&B in classic Provence style, in the medieval village of Boulbon between Avignon, Arles, Nîmes and St. Rémy. It's a peaceful base amid the scents, colours and light of Provence, a region that inspired painters like van Gogh, Cézanne, Gauguin and Picasso. There are also music and theatre festivals and plenty of Roman heritage. We wholeheartedly recommend this complete Provence experience at Maison St. Jean. Don't miss it!

The breakfasts were excellent and generous, with fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolate from the local bakery. Our room was spacious, with a luxurious, clean bathroom, and the garden was beautifully kept and nicely shaded. The authentic yet modern house, with comforts throughout and fine art everywhere, exceeded our expectations. The owners welcomed us warmly, and the hostess speaks French and Dutch natively and is fluent in English. I was told she also speaks German and Russian. We got useful suggestions from our hosts for things to see and do. We enjoyed walks around Boulbon and a good meal at the Café Du Commerce, then visited Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Arles following Van Gogh's footsteps. The medieval cities of Aix-en-Provence and Avignon impressed us too. After a day out in Provence, a dip in the pool was refreshing. We had a very pleasant stay at La Maison Saint Jean, and I highly recommend it as a base for exploring this beautiful, inspiring area.
