Hôtel Camélia

This was our second stay, partly because it’s not too far from the Rock on Seine festival. The service is very helpful, and the staff are friendly and understanding, which makes you feel appreciated. The rooms are for sleeping, and they meet that need. Nothing to complain about, you get what you pay for.

There are lots of pubs, bakeries, restaurants, groceries and shops nearby, and the metro is close, making it easy to get around Paris. I stayed here with my wife and found the hotel nice, clean and secure. When I come to visit my doughter again, I’ll stay at Best Western Select Hotel.

I stayed a couple of nights. The room was tiny, and the shower had no door, so water could spill onto the floor. Some of the plugs were broken, and a few breakfast items didn’t look fresh.

The room was fine, with a comfortable bed and good mattress and bedding. The bathroom was clean and functional, and the air conditioning worked well. The hotel is a bit older and pretty no-frills, but reception staff were nice and helpful. My room faced a busy road, though the soundproofing was good enough apart from the occasional loud motorbike. Breakfast had a limited selection. The location suited my business meeting, and the price was right.
