The location was the one bright spot, with a direct metro link to the city centre. The breakfast lady was also pleasant. Reception staff, though, were rude and unfriendly. After a long drive, I asked a few questions and they acted as if they were stupid and seemed tired of answering. Our other interactions had the same blunt tone. My Booking.com reservation was cancelled halfway through my stay. I think they did it to stop me from leaving a negative review. I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

I slept well, and the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. Lagrange apart' Hotel is conveniently located for transport, shops, and two lovely weekend markets. We were there this year while working at Roland Garros 2023/4, but the stay was marred by a complete loss of water throughout the hotel for nearly 48 hours. I had to fill containers at the restaurant next door just to manage basic washing. The carpets throughout are stained and worn and really need replacing. The lift was out of order for three days, which would have made the hotel unsuitable for anyone with impaired mobility. Merci.

The dusty, dirty rooms and the way the stay was handled left a real negative mark on my three weeks in Europe. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. We had to move rooms twice. The first had a sewage smell from the toilet. Reception offered another room and didn't seem surprised by the complaint, as if this happened often. That second room was directly under the restaurant and noisy all night. At 11pm, after I said I wanted to check out and move hotels, they suddenly offered a very good room. It was decent enough, though still not three-star quality, and I couldn't understand why it hadn't been offered first. The reception man was extremely rude when I arrived after a long drive. It was my mistake not to mention that my wife and our 22 month old child would be with me, and I was happy to pay any extra charge. Still, he berated me and kept saying I'd done the wrong thing. Later, he told me to book somewhere else if I came with my wife again. He'd also clashed with her when she called to ask for towels, telling her to come downstairs and get them herself. Please stay away.

At 150Euros per night, I expected better than being handed a table fan and told to deal with it. Reception said all the rooms were like that, but the central air conditioning didn't work, and in summer the room became a sauna even with the windows open. The bathroom drains were clogged, the carpet was torn, and the curtains had holes. It's a run-down hotel. Stay away if you can.
