Hôtel Villa Sorel

We arrived tired and my stomach was hurting, and the owner refused to let us stay. The website said cash payment was possible, but he said he only accepted cards. Our card didn't work at first, though we sorted that out, and he still refused us for no reason. It felt deeply disrespectful. The hostess was very polite and kind, gave us tea, and helped us find another hotel. Thank you to her for that.

The mood here is much calmer than in Paris itself, even though it's close by, and the area isn't crowded. People around were friendly, and the hotel staff were very nice. It's near the station and about a 15-minute walk from Parc des Princes, with restaurants and boulangeries nearby. I also liked that local newspapers were available to read at breakfast.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to know their stuff. The hotel was clean and modern, with a cute Paris feel. It's a little away from the attractions, but that gave us a taste of everyday Paris street life among the locals.

We were there for three nights to go to a match at Parc Des Princes. The location was good, and breakfast tasted fine, but the rooms are tiny and the walls are so thin you can hear everything at night. I wouldn't recommend it.
