Hotel de Paris

I chose this hotel because I wanted to stay close to St Cloud Domsine, where the Limieres en Seine light and music show with holiday themes takes place. I come to Paris every year for the city’s culture and to kick off Christmas season at the show. The hotel was clean and convenient, and the staff were kind and helpful.

BEDBUGS in the room. The worst hotel ever. DO NOT STAY HERE. My legs started itching on the first night after I checked in Friday. I suspected bedbugs, and the next day I found one crawling by my pillow. Horrifying. I went to reception in the middle of the night to complain, but they said there were no spare rooms. I had to book another hotel myself at midnight and move right away. They left me to deal with the problem alone. The next morning, they said the manager would come, but nobody showed. Later, they told me to come back Monday. I’m here on business and can’t spend time chasing them. They also couldn’t tell me whether my existing reservation could be canceled. Ridiculous. This hotel has zero cleanliness, zero responsibility, and zero concern for guest health or safety. Stay away at all costs.

The hotel is colorful and quaint, and it was a pleasant stay. It’s neat and has free WiFi, but there’s no laundry service and I found the coffee machine difficult to use. Watch out when leaving your room, because the door opens very close to the stairs. There’s also a toilet downstairs by reception.

This is our usual place when we’re in Paris. There are lots of shops and restaurants close by, the staff are super helpful, and the price is reasonable.
