Lagrange Apart'HOTEL Paris/Boulogne

The location was the one good thing, with a direct metro link to the city center. The breakfast woman was pleasant too, but the reception staff were rude throughout. After a long drive, I asked them a few questions and got the impression they thought they were stupid and were tired of answering. The rest of our interactions were blunt and unfriendly. They also canceled my Booking.com reservation halfway through the stay. I think they did it to stop me leaving a bad review. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I slept well, and the staff were always welcoming and willing to help. Lagrange apart' Hotel is conveniently placed, with transport, shops, and two lovely weekend markets nearby. Merci. Still, our visit this year, while working at Roland Garros 2023/4, was seriously affected when the water stopped throughout the hotel for nearly 48 hours. I had to fill containers at the restaurant next door just to manage basic washing. The carpets all over the place look stained and worn and need replacing. The lift was also out for three days, which would have made the stay unworkable for anyone with limited mobility.

The dust and dirt in the rooms were bad enough that I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I've been in Europe for three weeks, and this stay left a real negative mark on my trip. We changed rooms twice. In the first, the toilet smelled of sewage. Reception moved us, and they didn't seem surprised by the complaint, as if it happened often. But room two was right under the restaurant and so loud all night that I couldn't sleep. At 11 pm I said I wanted to check out and move elsewhere. Only then did they offer a much better room. It was decent, though still not three-star standard, and I couldn't understand why they hadn't offered it first. The receptionist was extremely rude when I arrived with my wife and our 22-month-old child. I hadn't said in advance that they'd be with me, and I accepted that was my mistake and offered to pay any extra charge. He kept scolding me and saying I'd done the wrong thing, which was very unprofessional. Later, he told me to book another hotel if I came with my wife again. After she called to ask for towels, he told her to come downstairs and get them herself. Please stay away.

At 150 euros a night, I expected better than being handed a table fan and told to deal with it. The central air conditioning didn't work, and the room was like a sauna in summer even with the windows open. Reception said every room was the same. The bathroom drains were clogged, the carpet was torn up, and there were holes in the curtains. This place is run down. Stay away if you can.
