The room was spacious for a standard double, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast has plenty of choices, though the dining room is quite small. There's secure private parking onsite, but it can be tight if you have a larger car, and a petrol station is just 30 seconds away. It was about a 30-minute walk to the Aquarium, which was why I stayed. Two things bothered me: the toilet flush valve sometimes stuck open, and the annoying shower curtain should really be replaced with a proper screen.
4/10
Breakfast was a few types of bread, two kinds of ham, waffles, pancakes, and some other bits, with no proper food like eggs or sausages. The shower water would suddenly go ice cold, and the toilet needed around five flushes just to get toilet paper down. The place felt horrible: yellowish stains on the mattresses, noisy beds, and legs that looked as if they might break.
8/10
After reading other reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, but our room was very clean. It was a little basic, though €45 for a family of four for one night was excellent value. All the staff were friendly.
8/10
The location beside the beach is nice, and the bed was perfect. The bathroom could use better showers and soaps, and the rooms need soundproofing. I didn't need any service.
6/10
The hotel is a bit tired, but it did what we needed. Having a secure car park is great, though you have to go to Reception to get in, and there's nowhere to leave the car while you do that.
