Hotel des Lauriers Roses

We had a great night on our way to the south of France. The beds were clean, the staff friendly, and the service was good. They had a baby bed, dogs are welcome, and check-in was available until midnight. The car was safe in the gated private parking lot. Couldn't ask for more.

The breakfast was horrific. We arrived to find no plates because they were in the dishwasher, so we had to use serving trays and napkins. There were only a few pieces of bread, sweet buns, and small yoghurts, with Nutella, jam, or butter. No eggs, ham, cheese, or cereal. It cost 30 euros for two adults and two children. If you're staying here while passing through and just need a room, I'd skip breakfast, and especially dinner, and walk to the nearby bakery instead. I stayed for one night. The rooms were clean and fine, but nothing special. The evening food was passable, and the owner who spoke English (?) was friendly, though the others were a bit less so. The atmosphere was dreadful.

Our car broke down nearby, so I stayed here with our three kids. The staff were fantastic and went the extra mile to help when needed. Breakfast was good, and there are a few restaurants and pizza shops close by.

We had an amazing meal, with great seafood at good prices. The chef has been there for over 20 years!
