We had a lovely dinner with the very pleasant couple who own and run Les Nuitées du Détour. We only speak a little French, and their English is better, though not brilliant, but we managed and really enjoyed the meal together. The room was large, with a big comfortable bed, and it was peaceful. The village isn't touristy, more of a family place, but the setting is lovely, with nice walks and cycling nearby. We'd certainly come back.
Breakfast in Martine and Olivier's family kitchen, with local products, gave us the energy for our daily outings. Our room and bed were spacious, and the birds singing in the morning made for a gentle wake-up. We stayed a few nights to visit family in Bourdeaux, and what a warm welcome and pleasant surprise. Martine & Olivier shared local tips and guided us throughout our stay. I'll definitely return when I'm next in the region. Thank you for the conversations and kindness. Sabrina & Antonio
They were lovely, and Martine and Olivier made us feel extraordinarily welcome. Everything was perfect, and their advice about the Huguenot Trail was excellent. I highly recommend the Détour.

Martine and Olivier are lovely and run a magnificent cottage. They gave us plenty of tips about the area, and breakfast was excellent. It's all in a magnificent village. I warmly recommend it!
