Alicalapa-Tenon Clement

It's a beautiful setting, and the owner is an extremely nice person. A great place to stay before hiking to the volcano.

Clément really goes all out at dinner, serving tasty local specialties from the punch and appetizer through to dessert. He's warm, talkative, and clearly puts a lot into welcoming guests. Thank you for our stay in Bourg Murat! The guesthouse is right at the start of the road to the volcano, which makes the location ideal. Our room and bed were comfortable, and the bathroom has been renovated recently. There is a slight dampness issue that could be dealt with. Breakfast was fine but very simple, just bread, butter, and homemade jams, and at 7:30 a.m. it was a bit late for hikers setting out early. Even so, we have excellent memories of staying at Clément's and highly recommend the place.

The meal was filling and satisfying, and the atmosphere around the table was pleasant. The innkeeper was friendly and cooked it himself. For larger people, though, I'd avoid the bed in the Capucine room. It's too small, and you may toss and turn all night.
