Hôtel Inn Design Restaurant Bourges

Service was excellent and efficient. They let us keep our bikes in a separate conference room for extra security, and the breakfast buffet was excellent value when paid for in advance, with plenty of choice including fresh fruit, pancakes, and cereals. This is a budget hotel, so you get what you pay for. Our ground-floor room was clean and the bed reasonably comfortable, though a bit too soft. The room felt tired, especially the bathroom, where paint was peeling and there were mold stains on the ceiling. With a little basic maintenance, it would be even better. The outside door opened onto the car park, but we couldn't leave it partly open to get some air in. We'd stay again.

It's only rated two stars, but the staff and food are better than that. The location is fantastic for walking into Bourges by the canal and around the lake. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

The receptionist who checked me in was great and did everything she could to help. Although the restaurant was closed, she managed to arrange an excellent starter and main course for me. The hotel was easy to get to, breakfast had plenty of choice, and parking for my motorbike was free. My room was clean and welcoming, with a nice kettle, though I would have liked the bed a little firmer. I would definitely recommend it.

The staff were amazing and did everything they could to help when I broke down in the area. Chef José was a huge help!
