The street noise made this room completely unsuitable for sleeping. My suite was right beside the road, and the windows barely blocked any sound. I could make out sidewalk conversations clearly. Cars started passing as early as 4-5 am, and hitting a street grille made a loud thud. Large vehicles shook the window and the whole room, with a lot of rumbling resonance. The mini-fridge was also extremely noisy. It kept switching on in the middle of the night, making an intermittent low hum that seriously disturbed my sleep. The tableware wasn't properly clean either, so we washed the utensils we needed before using them. This was an Airbnb single suite at 51 Rue Edouard Vaillant, 18000 Bourges, France. I picked it for the location without reading the reviews carefully, thinking a small room would be fine. Anyone booking an Airbnb should read the reviews closely so they don't make the same mistake I did.
