La Vieille Ecole

That garden is lush and green, and breakfast was superb. The hosts made us feel welcome, while the old creaky parquet and thick stone walls gave the place a nostalgic, childhood feel. It’s full of history and has a rustic atmosphere. Just right for a “Sunday in the country.” We loved it and recommend it.

Breakfast and lunch were both a delight. Karine and her husband went out of their way to make us feel at ease, and I had two wonderful days there. My colleagues who came with me would surely agree. If you want a little pure bliss, I highly recommend the place. Thanks for everything, and see you soon!

The pool and outdoor space are a lovely addition to this magnificent historic house. We stayed one night and were given a very warm welcome. The hosts did everything they could to make our family comfortable, including our child and baby, and breakfast was excellent. Thanks again!

We especially loved the breakfasts, with homemade cakes, fresh fruit, and different jams every morning. The four days we spent at La Vieille École in the heart of August were wonderfully relaxing. Karine and Sylvain were kind and helpful, and the historic setting made the stay even more special. There are peaceful corners throughout the house and garden, with birdsong all around. The rooms are spacious, and comfort has been thoughtfully considered, from local toiletries, lemongrass and a fan to refreshments in the shared spaces.
