We really enjoyed exploring the village, and the location made it easy to get to nearby attractions. There’s no TV, which we found refreshing. Sitting quietly with a glass of wine and sharing our impressions was one of the best parts of the stay. The castle’s original look and historic atmosphere gave our trip something special. Château Vallagon is charming, and the quality for the price impressed us. We’d happily return and recommend it.

The grounds are huge and well kept, and we came across what looked like a playground in a field. Our room was old but full of charm. After hours of driving through the day and night, we arrived late, and I was dealing with a severe stomach upset. The kitchen and chef prepared food that suited me, and everyone made us feel very welcome. A lovely little château, and they were very accommodating.
