Catherine and Jean-Luc were delightful hosts who treated us like old friends, and the dinner Jean-Luc served with the other guests was top-notch. Breakfast was just as good. The room was large and on the main floor; Katherine showed us two rooms and let us pick the one we preferred. The B&B is in a small town close to Fontfroide Abbey, and behind the gate there’s a lovely southern-style mas with an outdoor pool. The wifi wasn’t great, and the rooms could use some updating, but the hosts and food more than made up for it.

Avoid this place. I wish I’d checked the Google reviews before booking. Booking.com doesn’t accurately show how disrespectful and fraudulent this place is. The customer service was absolutely horrible, demanding a 1000EUR deposit for a one-night stay. That’s absurd and, frankly, illegal. This place should be taken down immediately. The Google reviews show the true picture. Despicable behaviour.

The owner is incredibly rude. If you don’t want people enjoying your house, then don’t rent it out. You don’t get to tell me how to spend my holiday. And the huge split between the reviews speaks for itself: common sense says the only way to get ratings of either 1/5 or 5/5 is for people to be posting fake five-star reviews.

Poor customer service. They seem interested in guests who come for dinner, and not in children.

Not a family-friendly place, and the customer service was poor!
