We were surprised by the positive reviews, because our stay didn't match them at all. We’ve spent years staying in bed and breakfasts, and this felt very different. The owner was welcoming and the bed itself was comfortable, but the room was really cold in February. Breakfast was the biggest letdown: Bonne Maman jam, croissants that seemed frozen, and Benco hot chocolate. We expect homemade or good-quality food at a bed and breakfast. We won’t return.

We spent a week at Lola's cottages and would happily recommend them. It was quiet, comfortable, and clean, just what we wanted. The owner was very friendly and gave us great advice. Everything was perfect, and we plan to come back next year. Guylaine and Joël Galy

The place was clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable, with lots of peace and quiet. We were greeted so warmly by the owner, and we’d gladly recommend Lola's cottages. Many thanks for such a lovely welcome. Christèle and Pascal

We had a great welcome and found the place clean and wonderfully peaceful. I live in the Île-de-France region, and I’d say the breakfast was excellent. There was just the right amount of everything. Thanks again, and I highly recommend it.

The quiet and the surrounding area were the best parts of our stay. Our attic apartment, though, felt completely inadequate for the price. It was tastefully decorated, but cheaply furnished, and the sloping ceilings on both sides added to the cramped feel. There was no door between the toilet and bedroom, no proper windows in the bedroom or bathroom, and just skylights in the living room and kitchen. You had to stand on tiptoe to look outside. The owner said, "Normally people leave in the morning and come back in the evening, it doesn't bother them." Cleaning seemed cursory, perhaps because the apartment had been empty for a while. We found crumbs and broken glass by the bin. We didn’t see the other two apartments, so this is only about ours. We may have caught the owners on a bad day, since the welcome was cold. On the other hand, when our car broke down on a Sunday morning, the owner drove us to the supermarket. We’d also rented a so-called "family" apartment but had to pay extra for a third person, despite staying only four nights instead of the seven we’d prepaid. There was no privacy in the toilet, and the upstairs apartment felt like a cellar.
