We felt at home from the start. The staff were amazing, and our room overlooking the river was stunning. The hotel has class without feeling snobby, and the restaurant meal left us speechless. If you're thinking of staying, just book it!

The Michelin star surprise meal was delicious, with interesting dishes and outstanding wine. Our room was clean, spacious, and smelled great, and the hotel overlooks the lake and bridge in an excellent spot. Brantôme is a gorgeous town right on the doorstep. My one criticism: we couldn't have breakfast outside, even though it was sunny and 22 deg. 4.5/5 stars.

The village feels like a Wes Anderson set brought to life, with stone houses, water, and lush greenery all blending together. Quaint and charming, it's the perfect setting for a windmill hotel. Everyone should stay in one at least once in their life.

The views were hard to beat, and the hotel welcomes dogs too. Our room was a good size, with a bathroom that had both a tub and shower. The decor felt a bit spartan. Breakfast was 22€, well done, and came with those views. We really enjoyed our stay.

It's an excellent hotel, but the French gentleman at reception let it down. If you don't speak French, he can be dismissive and very unhelpful. He needs serious customer care skills.
