Pierre et Vacances Village Normandy Garden

The pool was a real highlight, with a shallow section for kids, a whirlpool and an outdoor area. I found it a bit cold outside, but my family loved it. There was also a sauna area with warm showers, a nice surprise since the regular poolside showers were cold. The holiday park is lovely and spacious, set among picturesque villages that we enjoyed visiting. It's quite hilly, so families with small children may need a car or at least a stroller. I was pregnant during our stay, and the slopes made walking a bit challenging, though the scenery and peaceful atmosphere helped. We ate supper at the restaurant during a busy spell, and the staff kindly let us reserve a table. The food was tasty and enjoyable, nothing fancy, and the kids were happy with their meals. The on-site supermarket is expensive, so the larger supermarkets 10-15 minutes away are much more affordable for shopping. Our stay was short, so we didn't get to try the animation programs or playgrounds. Even so, we had a wonderful family stay and would consider coming back.

I called to ask about booking two houses next to each other and was told to wait. After 10 minutes I hung up because it was an expensive international call. I tried again 20 minutes later and explained that I was the person who'd called earlier. They simply hung up on me. I called once more, but only got elevator music. I guess they're not short on bookings. Not a great experience.

A simple family holiday, with nothing fancy. Parking was included, and the kids had great animation and a kids club. The apartments have kitchens if you want to cook. We chose demi pension, so we had breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay.

I loved my 11-day stay in this charming village, which feels authentically Normandian and sits among wooded surroundings. The service was friendly, and weekdays were quiet. It's centrally located, with both small and large villages a 15-20 minute drive away. The restaurant is rather okay, a useful fallback for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The pools are okay, especially for younger kids, and there are quite a few sports facilities.
