La chambre du Pigeonnier

The owners, Didier and Isabelle, along with Sybelle, were always welcoming and easy to approach. We had a delicious, classic French dinner with them, and a good wine or beer made it even nicer. The room has a warm retro feel, with stone and wood, a roomy bathroom, and a double bed plus an extra bed up on the mezzanine. There’s also a smart TV, wood stove, and comfortable sofa. A lovely stay in the small village of Braux, made special by the friendly atmosphere.

This was the start of our trip from Nice through Provence/Luberon and back to the Côte d'Azur. We really didn’t want to leave. Isabelle and Didier welcomed us so warmly and cooked wonderfully, and their home has a bit of magic to it. The animals were lovely too. We had to carry on with heavy hearts, but had already decided we’d come back in the fall.

We only had a single night with Didier and Isabelle, and wished we’d had longer. They’re warm, wonderful hosts and speak excellent English. The Host Table made for a fantastic evening, with delicious food, relaxed conversation, and a casual, interesting atmosphere. The room is beautiful, and you can feel the care and effort that went into building it by hand. We felt right at home, and the view is magnificent. One day in the mountains left us feeling refreshed. After traveling from the Canadian boreal forest, we were welcomed by Isabelle and Didier in the beautiful hinterland of Nice. They’re clearly passionate about beauty, and made our time in their cozy bed and breakfast very pleasant. The surrounding landscapes are superb. Thank you for the hospitality and a lovely stay.
