Appartements détente & nature - Domaine de La Thiau

It's a beautiful setting, and the photos show the place as it is. But the welcome, hygiene, service, and friendliness at the gîte were awful. Communication, both spoken and written, came across as haughty and nearly aggressive. Being welcoming doesn't seem to matter to them. Such a shame for a magnificent place.

Having our wedding at Domaine de La Thiau in September 2021 was a wonderful choice. Our guests loved the charm of the reception hall and the beautiful grounds, and having accommodation on site was a real plus. The owners were so kind and did everything they could to make the day go smoothly. We're very grateful, and we'll remember those two days fondly.

The cottage we rented for a wedding in September 2023 was dirty, uncomfortable, and nowhere near worth the price. The furniture was very old, the bedding was terrible, and the owner didn't provide the number of beds she'd committed to. Even before the stay, a phone call to ask about arriving in the afternoon after a five-hour drive was met with incredible rudeness, as if we'd been a nuisance for asking. There was no respect at all. This is no way to run a business, and we absolutely don't recommend the place.

The renovated reception hall is beautiful and works really well for a wedding. It even has a projector already installed, and the cottages are right beside it, which is handy. The estate itself is magnificent. The owners were lovely, respectful, and understanding. I highly recommend it.
