We had the Lagoon room, which was spacious and comfortable, with lovely canal views. The place is beautiful and full of art, and breakfast was plentiful and really tasty. The owner recommended Le Petite d'oc nearby for dinner, and both the food and wine were great.

It feels like home here, thanks to the peace and quiet, cleanliness, and warm welcome. Breakfast was lovely, with everything we needed. The hostess is friendly, discreet, and charming. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

We only stayed one night, but what a treat. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and the paintings give it a character all its own. Everything made the stay comfortable, from the spacious rooms and comfy bed to the excellent breakfast with delicious homemade jams. Elise, the owner, greeted us warmly and simply, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Thank you, we’ll be back.

Hello Madam, We usually don’t make a fuss, but on the phone you got carried away with my partner for no real reason. We left quietly and sent you a private message to explain why. We also said you had our bank details so you could charge us, and that you could call if needed. We absolutely did not leave without paying. Yes, the room was hot and there were mosquitoes, though I agree that wasn’t your fault. My partner came back to look for you around 7 a.m., but no one was there. With a long drive ahead, we left anyway. Everything was fine for us cleanliness-wise. He meant the outside, not the interior. We said the house was very nice, the location great, and the garage a big plus. I also enjoyed the walks by the water, and the homemade jams were very good, even though I’m not a sweet-tooth at all. We understand the difference between a bed and breakfast and a self-catering cottage, and it was our first time staying somewhere without a small shared space. If someone had asked at breakfast how we slept, we would have mentioned the heat. We weren’t criticizing just for the sake of it. We simply left a day early, which we’re entitled to do, and don’t see why that was a problem. We left no online review, only a short email explaining why. We don’t understand your reaction, especially since we paid for all three nights anyway. P.S. Thanks for breakfast. Best regards.

The beautiful building and lovely canal-side location were real positives, as was the closed garage, though the property could use maintenance. Still, after many stays in bed and breakfasts, this is the only one that left us feeling truly bitter, because of the host’s behavior. None of the earlier reviews mention the “Corbières” room on the second floor. It faces southwest, looks onto the back of the building rather than the canal, and was around 30°C when we arrived. The host apologized for the heat but couldn’t understand why we left very early after the second night. In that heat, with mosquitoes, sleeping peacefully was simply impossible. The phone call was insulting, unprofessional, and dishonest, and ended up feeling arrogant and aggressive. PROMISE BROKEN! There were other issues too: no shared facilities for drinks or warming food, unlike most places; only sweet breakfast, with no savory option offered; and no shampoo or shower gel. The old-fashioned linens came with old, less-than-fresh blankets, so beware of dust mites. We weren’t offered any compensation for the night we didn’t stay. We left the room in perfect condition, as we always do.
