The seasonal menu had foie gras, shrimp, and cod when we visited. Everything was well cooked and nicely presented without any fuss. This was our second dinner at this family-run restaurant, and it remains a favorite in the area. Highly recommended.

We sat in the sunny garden, looking across the flower beds to the beautiful river Ildut, and later walked through the woods along the GR34 to Lanildut. The peaceful setting and relaxed, friendly service made lunch feel unhurried. The cooking was imaginative and skillful, with fresh, lively flavors and a focus on local ingredients. We had some of the best food we’ve eaten in France.

The room and bed were comfortable, and the bathroom had a nicely shaped jetted tub. There was also a table in the room where my wife worked on her scrapbook. We enjoyed dinner here, and although we didn’t order the rack of lamb, it looked tempting. Breakfast was simple but sufficient and included with the stay. Meals are available except on Sundays, when there’s no lunch or dinner. It’s a relaxing place to stay. We’ve seen 40 chateaus on this trip so far.

We found this restaurant well away from the usual routes and chose it for my husband’s birthday lunch. The setting was stunning, the food fantastic, and the service great. It was well worth the price for a special occasion.
